Being on the Right Side of the Market
Capstone (CPST:NASDAQ) is the best short of the year. Its currently trading at US$19. If you had followed Taipans advice and shorted this stock at US$90, youd be up 79 percent today. The question is whether we should cover now pending some good news regarding the presidential election, or follow the Flying "V" model.
I think Ill stick to my guns. However, if this stock decides to go north, which I dont think it will, plan to cover at US$30. No sense in losing your hard earned gains. On the first trading day after Christmas, 64 million additional shares will become eligible to trade. This "Flying V" scenario may be enough to send Capstone into the single digits. Taipan plans to cover sometime before the first of the year.
The big question of the day is whether or not this is a true bottom. No one knows for sure, but given the real possibility of three rate cuts next year by the Fed, as well as some interesting TA (Check out Adam Lasss Fibonacci work on 247profits) this sure looks like the time to start accumulating.
Sincerely,
Christian DeHaemer
