Sell the Losers and Let the Winners Run
By Ian L. Cooper
Waiting for profits from our ICGE play is as exhausting as looking for WMD's in Iraq. While we're down only marginally from our 47-cent entry price, we're ready to bail on it. Even though we're selling this play today, we still believe there is profit potential, so we'll look to get back into this Internet incubator play sometime in early 2004 should a profitable opportunity arise, perhaps on the back of a Google IPO.
As for our recent string of winners, after selling the second half of LEXR and NETE for 208% and 238% gains, respectively, we're still holding PD (up 32%), IFN (up 3%) and MF (up 16%). Look for more plays from Chris DeHaemer and myself in the December issue of Taipan .
Congratulations on your recent winners. If you have an opportunity, please drop us a note at icooper@agora-inc.com or cdehaemer@agora-inc.com and let us know how your Taipan plays have been doing.
Thanks. Congratulations once again. |
