Taipan
Update
By Ian L.
Cooper
Congratulations
to those of you who bought into Chris DeHaemers
Cipla recommendation at 850 rupees. Today, it
trades at 1,123.65 rupees, and we are up 32%. Continue
to hold.
The company
has just dispatched the first free consignment of its
anti-AIDS drug, Nevirapine, to the Indian government
for distribution under the public health system.
Elsewhere,
the situation with the Taliban and the United States
should have a bullish impact on our Turkcell (TKC:NYSE)
pick, as it could focus more resources on economic activity
in the region. Continue to hold. The long-term upside
of TKC far outweighs the down.

Q4 will
be a once-in-a-generation buy opportunity. Get your
FREE Red Zone Fourth Quarter Report now!
An old trader
once told me that the simplest way to make money is
to buy stocks after Christmas and before the New Year
and sell them in February. You see, tax-loss selling
and year-end bonuses mean that all professional money
managers sell before the end of the year, causing an
artificial low.
Believe
me, there are plenty of losses out there. Q4 2001 is
shaping up to be the buy of the decade. And the Red
Zone team has put together a detailed list of more than
250 companies, with more than 150 of them in the
Value Zone.
Many are
cash-flow positive and trading at one third of cash.
There are dot-com survivors with niche, moneymaking
business models. The herd doesnt want to own these
now, but it will soon, and we will ride the revival
to triple-digit gains. Or how about forgotten healthcare
providers riding the baby boomers journey into
the golden years? Not to mention rock-solid blue chips,
which are now valued at less than one times sales.
We are going
to see a once-in-a-generation buying opportunity. Get
