Cooper It's a good thing we're still invested in Christian DeHaemer's Phelps Dodge (PD:NYSE) play. Having bought in around US$45.50 on September 8, many of you are already sitting on an attractive 46% gain or US$21.50 profit per share as it re-approaches its early day high of US$68. We'll continue to hold until the bottom falls out under copper. But that may not be any time soon… In fact, copper prices recently came just inches from the psychological threshold of US$1 per pound, which bodes well for our PD position. Plus, confidence in improving economic conditions and strengthening commodities markets won't exactly hinder future gains in this stock. Again, continue holding.
