EK
Doing OK
By
Ian Cooper
After Salomon
Smith Barney upgraded Eastman Kodak yesterday to "outperform"
from "neutral," the stock soared above US$33.25,
giving us a decent 16% gain from our US$28.71 entry
price. SSB has now set its price target to US$36, noting
that the companys performance is beginning to
stabilize. Congratulations on your current EK gains.
Earnings are due on April 25.
And just
this past week, Phillip Morris confirmed that it was
in talks with South African Breweries over the buyout
of Miller Brewing Company. They stated that the discussions
are at a preliminary stage and no conclusions have been
reached. Continue holding SAB.L, were now up more
than 10%.

For those
of us that hate walking up to the TV and changing the
station by hand - this is the biggest thing since the
remote control.
If interactive
television takes off, you could be sitting on a 2,500%
gain by the time 2004 rolls around. Thats from
a US$2.22 stock with a big foot in advertisers
checkbooks. No joke. The last time we made a bold call
like this, we walked away with a quick 119% gain on
SureBeam
right before the media got its hands
on the Anthrax-solution story. Im still getting
thank you emails from that play.
Insiders
bought more than 117,000 shares in this company over
the past nine months. More than 10 institutions madly
bought 6,975,000 shares. It trades just under cash.
Volume has been up more than 1,000% above the daily
average for weeks. Its 48% above its 13-day EMA,
58% above its 50-day EMA, and trades at a piddling US$2.22.
Something big is about to happen.
While this
company may not get as much attention as Liberate, OpenTV,
or TiVo, you should keep an eye on it anyway. Its one-click
service is now in more than five million homes, and
growing rapidly. Plus, the dramatic upswing in volume
over the past few weeks tells me there might be something
going on behind the scenes.
