Profiting
in a Market Slump
By Ian L.
Cooper
Historically,
were in the worst part of the year. Q1 continues
to see its share of earnings disappointments and disasters
that has left the market struggling to find a bottom.
With mixed consumer confidence, accounting mishaps,
and general distrust in the market, we could continue
to see a downfall across the board at least until mid-April.
As of today,
the NASDAQ is down more than 14 percent from its 2002
peak. The Dow is down four percent, and the S&P
500 is down some seven percent. Not a good sign. If
these market trends continue, we could re-touch September
21st lows.
But, while
the market seeks its bottom, we continue to rake in
the profits. Chris DeHaemers 2002 recommendations,
for example, are already up an average 8.5 percent,
regardless of depressed market conditions. And, my USOO
and TMCS picks brought in an average gain of 66 percent
in less than two months. Both were sold earlier this
month.
Heres
a list of Chris DeHaemers current positions. All
remain a hold.
