Year of the Tiger performance review:
World Investor
by Christian DeHaemer
Blood in the streets. Thats what I like. Thats where I like to make money: Picking up battered stocks at fractions of their value while whiny wimps shiver in corners holding an ice pack to their shiners.
Sometimes it works fast. Sometimes it doesnt. You take the good with the bad...roll with the punches. This year I did quite a bit of rolling. Rolling in money, that is.
Filthy lucre
What can I tell you? If you followed my advice, you made money. If you didnt, well, at least you can think youre a moral person: But with 300% gains jingling in my pocket on EROX and 102% gains on Rasta brewskis, I take a walk on the wild side. It more than makes up for our realized and unrealized losses.
Overall, my open positions are up 53% for 1998. Since I tend to sell when I notice stuff heading south without a catalyst materializing, our total profits on closed positions were 14%. Thats a total average gain of 29% for 1998.
Average? You may think so. But Januarys already putting hair on my chest...(see my brief roundup).
